  1. What are the features that I can access without logging in? What are the benefits of logging in?

    If you are not logged in, you will only be able to browse and search for information.

    Logging in enables you to access more features, such as submitting claims for your SkillsFuture Credit or taking assessments to better understand your strengths and interests. Logging in also offers access to many features on your personal dashboard, including setting alerts for courses you are interested in and documenting your skills and training records with Skills Passport.

  2. Who can use MySkillsFuture?

    The MySkillsFuture portal can be viewed and accessed by anyone. However, only Singapore citizens and permanent residents can log in to access its personalised services and features.

    MySkillsFuture is a personal guide for skills upgrading and career planning, helping individuals make informed decisions about their career path and lifelong learning. It caters to people from all age groups and different stages of life, from primary school students to working adults.

    Working adults and tertiary students can use Singpass to log in to MySkillsFuture. After logging in, they can access the full features, including claiming their SkillsFuture Credit and taking self-assessment tools.

    Secondary and Pre-University students can use the portal as a guide for insights on different industries and occupations. There are also tools to help them record their experiences and achievements, so that they can plan their next step.

    For Primary 5 and 6 students, the portal offers interactive games to gauge their strengths and interests. They can also learn more about secondary school and find out more about working life.

    Each primary and secondary student will be issued with a student account, user ID and password by their school.

    Upon logging in, they will be prompted to change their password. They will be directed to a page to answer some security questions and enter their email address. After this, they will be able to log in using their user ID and password.

  3. I am a Secondary or Pre-University student. Which part of MySkillsFuture should I explore first?

    You may want to access the “Secondary” or “Pre-University” section, where you can discover more about different occupations as well as Singapore’s industry and education landscape.

  4. I am entering the workforce soon. Which part of MySkillsFuture should I explore first?

    For a start, you can explore “Assessments” to better understand your skills and career interests. There are tools to determine your Career Interests, Skills Confidence and Work Values.

    Subsequently, you can explore MySkillsFuture’s other features, such as “Resources”, to gain more information on an industry you are interested in and explore your career options.

  5. I am a mid- or late-career individual. What are the features that can help me with my employment, career and training needs?

    “Courses”, “Resources” and “Assessments” on MySkillsFuture will be helpful. At Resources, you will find Industry Insights featuring different industries, job roles and the market outlook. To broaden and deepen your skills, you can visit Courses.

  6. I am a parent. Will I be able to access my children’s accounts in MySkillsFuture?

    No, you will not be able to access your children’s accounts as their accounts are not tagged to their parents’. Student accounts can only be accessed using the student’s User ID and password issued by their school.

    You can, however, explore MySkillsFuture with your children after they have logged in and discuss with them their ambitions and future plans.

  7. Do I need to pay to use any of MySkillsFuture’s services?

    Content and services on MySkillsFuture are free. MySkillsFuture is a personal guide for skills upgrading and career planning, helping Singaporeans and Permanent Residents to make informed decisions about their career path and lifelong learning.  

    If you are interested in a course posted on “Courses”, please register directly with the Training Provider. You can use your SkillsFuture Credit to pay for, or offset the course fees of approved courses by applying through MySkillsFuture.

    Beginning 19 May 2017, the default payment mode for all courses, except for Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs), is to pay the SkillsFuture Credit directly to Training Providers.

  8. How do I search for training courses? What are the types of courses available on MySkillsFuture?

    On the homepage, you can search for courses by using the search bar, or you can click on "View Courses" to browse the course directory. You can search for courses according to industry, a specific area of training, or the SkillsFuture Series on emerging areas such as Advanced Manufacturing or Cybersecurity.

  9. Will I be able to narrow down my search for information?

    Yes. Once you have entered a search term and arrived at the course search results page, there are a variety of search filters on the left of the course search results page that you can use to filter your search results.

  10. What information can I personalise on MySkillsFuture?

    Logging in using Singpass is a must for personalisation. After logging in, you can go to “Profile” to indicate your preferences for content. You can also bookmark and set alerts for courses you are interested in. In “Documents”, you can use the resume builder to build your employment profile, which employers can refer to and download.
