The SkillsFuture Credit of $500 can be used on top of existing SSG course fee subsidies to pay for a wide range of approved skills-related courses. There is no expiry date for the opening credit.
To further encourage Singaporeans to take timely steps to reskill and upskill, a one-off SkillsFuture Credit Top-Up of $500 was provided to every Singapore Citizen aged 25 years and above as at 31 December 2020.
This $500 top-up can be used for SkillsFuture Credit-eligible courses and will expire on 31 Dec 2025.
To provide greater support for the learning and development of mid-career Singaporeans, a one-off Additional SkillsFuture Credit of $500 was provided to every Singapore Citizen aged 40 to 60 (inclusive) as at 31 December 2020.
The expiry date for the Additional SkillsFuture Credit (Mid-Career Support) one-off top-up of $500 in 2020 will be lifted, and merged with the new $4,000 SkillsFuture Credit (Mid-Career) top-up (see below).
SkillsFuture Credit (Mid-Career) was introduced on 1 May 2024 and can be used to offset out-of-pocket course fees for selected courses that have better employability outcomes. SkillsFuture Credit (Mid-Career) does not expire.
Outstanding balance from the one-off Additional SkillsFuture Credit (Mid-Career Support) provided to every Singapore Citizen aged 40 to 60 (inclusive) as at 31 December 2020 will be merged with the SkillsFuture Credit (Mid-Career), with the expiry date lifted.

You can use your SkillsFuture Credit for courses listed on MySkillsFuture portal. SkillsFuture Credit can be used on top of other government course subsidies.
After you have selected a course here, you will have to first enrol for it with the training provider.
Upon successful course enrolment, you can submit a claim for SkillsFuture Credit within 60 days before course start date by following the steps below.
1. Select ‘Submit SkillsFuture Credit Claims’ on MySkillsFuture homepage and log in with your Singpass.
2. Ensure you have selected 'Submit a Claim'. You can then search for the course to submit a claim by searching the course title, course reference number or training provider.
3. If there are multiple results for the search result, ensure that you have selected the option with Course ID and training provider that matches the course you have enrolled in.
4. Select the course run or course start date. As there may be multiple course runs indicated, please select the correct run you have enrolled in.
5. Input the (1) amount of SkillsFuture Credit to claim, (2) fee payable by you (i.e. the final course fees charged by training provider) and (3) supporting documents (enrolment confirmation and receipt from training provider). Click on ‘Review’ once complete.
6. Review the information submitted. Click the checkbox ‘I have read and agreed to the SkillsFuture Credit Terms & Conditions’ once verified then click on ‘Submit’. You can select the ‘Back’ button at this point if you wish to edit any information.
7. A pop-up for your declaration will appear. Click on Agree and Submit.
If you have identified a good course that supports your employment but it is not found on MySkillsFuture portal, you could send your request to us via our service portal SSG-WSG service portal. We will evaluate your request and inform you of the outcome within 10 working days.
